Ibogaine treatment is unlike any other type of drug treatment available. Although Ibogaine treatment is nothing new, it has, for decades, almost existed in an underground type setting.

Before Ibogaine treatment became more popular, however, it was used as a spiritual and religious ceremonial doorway in the form of iboga tea.

THE HISTORY AND DISCOVERY OF IBOGAINE TREATMENT

Before the 1960s Ibogaine was relatively unknown. It was only used in its original form of iboga by the Bwiti religion.

Then, in the 1960s, it began to make its way around the globe as Howard Lotsof discovered it could almost cure heroin and opiate withdrawals.

This has been one of the most significant breakthroughs of our time. Addiction is running rampant and, with nothing to stop it, Ibogaine is one of the few drug treatment for addiction that doesn't merely substitute one drug addiction for another.

But how does Ibogaine actually work?

Ibogaine Treatment in the Brain

The brain is very volatile and can become addicted in a very short amount of time. Especially when it comes to heroin and opiate addiction. It doesn't take long for the brain to become dependent on these drugs for its chemical balance.

But Ibogaine can reverse this addiction almost overnight. Within a 24 hour period, Ibogaine is able to rewire the brain and reset the synapses in the brain back to the way they were before the addiction ever happened. Because of this ability, Ibogaine has proven itself to be one of the most effective treatments for opiate and heroin addiction, especially for individuals who have tried other treatments that failed for them.

It also works on the psychedelic side. Many drugs, including Ayahuasca, LSD, and Psilocybin, have shown promise in treating addiction merely because of the way they can show the addict the truth about their life and their decisions.

Ibogaine is no different. It offers a psychedelic experience to many of those using it and does so in a way that can open the addicts mind and help them face their past and come to terms with underlying reasons they make the decisions that they do.

Because of this, Ibogaine has 2 different ways that it can help the addict find freedom sobriety.

Ibogaine is Not a Cure

Addiction can be extremely hard to overcome, especially from opiate and heroin. Ibogaine will not force an addict to change. Many addicts think that simply by taking Ibogaine they will be cured and never seek addictive behaviors. This is unfortunately not true. Addiction treatment must always be followed with an aftercare plan that works for the individual.

Staying away from bad influences, attending regular meetings, and relying on loved ones around you is the only way to stay clean from drug addiction. Ibogaine treatment offers a detox therapy that can't be matched, but it will not force you to change. It is up to the individual to make a life plan and stick to it in order to avoid relapse.

Finding an Ibogaine Treatment Clinic and Ibogaine Treatment Cost

Finding the right Ibogaine clinic can be a challenge. Many clinics have way too high of Ibogaine treatment cost, especially for the little benefit they offer.

Many clinics also will offer treatments like Suboxone or Methadone treatment for those still on these long-acting opiates. They are unfortunately willing to take addict's money without regard for the reality.

The truth is, Ibogaine should not cost more than 6,000 dollars for a medical treatment. Anything more is just unnecessary cost. Ibogaine is not expensive, however, a medical team can be a hefty cost--as well as private housing on the beach in Mexico. However, it is still Mexico, so understand that the cost of treatment in Mexico should not be as expensive as if the treatment was based in the USA.

When choosing a clinic, check to make sure they have a medical doctor on staff and trained nurses. Make sure they know what they are talking about. Avoid places like Cancun and the Bahamas where Zika and other diseases are on high alert. South of the San Diego border is the safest and most popular place to get Ibogaine treatment for a reason, that's where the most experienced medical doctors are.

Ibogaine treatment doesn't have to be hard to find. Always talk to a medical professional before making any decisions regarding treatment for drug or alcohol addiction.
